The Hexafex website has been fixed up and there are now 20 free puzzles for you to solve! These will stay the same for the next few months.

However, because we want to share Hexafex with the world we have decided that the Hexafex software will now be available at no cost - That's Right - absolutely FREE!!! - no catch, no spyware, adware etc...

All you have to do is correctly solve one of the online puzzles and you will be shown the software registration code. Download the trial software, click register on the trial software menu and enter the code to register your software. Then you will have access to all 1200 hexafex puzzles.

Please note that this software is produced 'AS IS' and the software itself and all puzzles contained within are subject to international copyright laws. We cannot guarantee that the software will run on your machine but the Hexafex puzzle software should run on all Windows PCs with the following operating systems (98, Me, 2000, XP).

Problem with our online puzzle upload

On the 11th June we had a problem with the new puzzle upload which caused no new puzzles to be generated last week. Hexafex blames this on World Cup Fever?? - Many apologies to anyone who was expected them.

This week (18th June) we are cured from the curse of football? and there are 2 more symetrical puzzles back - the advanced one seems a bit tricky and it will be interesting to see if anyone send a correct solution - Good Luck

Hexafexes can come in a wide variety of shapes. Puzzles #7 & 8 were Pyramid variations which have 97 triangles and 36 circles compared with the classic Hexafex that has 96 triangles and 37 circles.

In the forthcoming months we will occasionally have different variations - Another interesting thing about Hexafexes is that they can be of any size and so you could have supersized versions! - wait and see

Hi,

1. Although most of the online Hexafexes have between 22 and 30 triangles filled in we have produced Hexafexes with as few as 19 given triangles filled in which still give a single solution.

2. Are you a good Hexafexer? - A good time for a beginner puzzle is under 10 mins and for an advanced puzzle it is under 20 mins - But don't worry if your times are not that good - practice makes a good hexafexer - why not challenge a friend to a Hexafex timed challenge?

We have examined our feedback and we have noticed that some people would like to print out the Hexafex puzzles. However, they find printing out the current puzzle difficult due to our use of background images.

Because of this we have included a link from the current puzzle page to a print friendly version of the puzzle - The link to web puzzle 2 is here.
